The Family Secret for a Thriving Organization

While the past few years have flooded our lives with never-seen, in modern times, challenges on top of challenges, one great truth has been discovered in it, that literally can transform our culture. What is the secret? How our emotional & relational health with our family, are two of the greatest factors in our productivity. Studies show that people experiencing “stress” in one of the two categories are 90% less productive than others. With the crazy reality of over 80% of the workforce, & society, struggling in one, if not both, areas.

The Family Secret reverses that reality & leads to healthy, fun, life-giving, families that begin to transform those around them. Fortunately, this isn’t just a theory to us, but a lifestyle that we have always experienced.

            One of the greatest accomplishments, we have been allowed, is “raising” 3 kids. In doing so, we quickly found out that each child responded to things in different ways. Meaning, that we had to keep our vision and values consistent while applying them with uniqueness to every child. Doing so allowed us to truly enjoy each stage of our children’s lives, celebrate them in a way that each one could grasp, and encourage them all consistently.

The Great Surprise: Every season brought us joy, but our favorite season was their teenage years. By grace, we received a strategy of how to influence through those years, all enjoying each other rather than fighting. It has been one of the most fulfilling things to see them all live into their own identity while living under the umbrella of identity as a Mitchell.

The Big Question:

1.     Do we have a strategy that helped create that culture? Absolutely Yes! But there is not enough time or room to share that here.

2.     How did you strike the work-life / family balance? We didn’t! We found, that for us, balance was a myth if we wanted to be used in a huge way. We did have strategy and systems that produced effectiveness, which was far more fun than balance and gave us the freedom to pursue our vision together versus just having jobs.

The Big Takeaway:

            When you get this secret right it produces success in every area of your life, causing everyone to study your lifestyle.  And that’s how you produce 90% more than others.
